Our Time Tracker helps you understand how you spend your time across different projects and tasks. Whether you're a freelancer billing clients, a team member tracking project hours, or simply someone who wants to be more productive, this tool provides simple yet effective time tracking with detailed reporting.

How to Use

  1. Add projects by entering a name and clicking Add Project.
  2. Click the Start button next to a project to begin tracking.
  3. The active timer will display at the top with the current project name.
  4. Click Stop & Save when you're done working.
  5. Your time entry will be saved and added to the recent entries list.
  6. Monitor your statistics: number of projects, time today, this week, and total.
  7. Review recent entries to see your tracked time history.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the timer continue if I close the browser?

The timer relies on your browser being open. If you close the browser, the timer will stop. However, when you reopen the page, it will detect if a timer was running and ask if you want to resume or discard the incomplete session.

Can I track multiple projects at once?

No, you can only track one project at a time. If you start tracking a new project while another is running, the current timer will stop and save automatically before starting the new one.

How is my time data stored?

All time entries and project data are stored in your browser's localStorage. This means your data stays on your device and is never transmitted to any server. However, it also means your data is only available on this device and browser.

Can I edit or delete time entries?

Currently, you can view your recent entries but cannot edit them directly. To remove entries, you would need to clear your browser data. An edit feature may be added in future updates.

Is this suitable for client billing?

This tool is great for tracking time for personal reference and estimating bills. However, for official client billing or legal compliance, you should use certified time tracking software that provides audit trails and official reports.
