Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is the world clock?

The world clock uses your device's system time and the browser's built-in timezone database. Times are generally accurate but depend on your device having the correct time and timezone settings. Daylight saving time changes should be handled automatically.

Are my selected cities saved?

Yes, the cities you add are saved to your browser's localStorage, so they'll persist between visits. However, if you clear your browser data or use private/incognito mode, your selections will not be saved.

Does the clock account for daylight saving time?

Yes, the world clock uses the IANA timezone database which includes daylight saving time rules. When a location enters or exits daylight saving time, the displayed time will update automatically.

Can I add any city in the world?

We include major cities from all continents. If you need a specific city that's not in our list, you can use our Timezone Converter tool to calculate the time difference manually.

Will the clock work offline?

Once the page is loaded, the clock will continue to work even without an internet connection. However, you won't be able to add new cities until you reconnect.
